THE HUTCHINSON NEWS, Hutchinson, Reno County, KS Published online Monday 5 November 2001 BUFFALO, Okla. - Glenn Willard Lake, 84, died Nov. 3, 2001, at Harper County Community Hospital, Buffalo, Okla. He was born Nov. 13, 1916, in Harper County, the son of Willard Wesley and Virginia Mae Young Lake. He attended New Hope County School, was a farmer, rancher and worked for the Oklahoma State Department of Transportation, retiring on May 31, 1986. He belonged to First Christian Church and Odd Fellows Lodge, Buffalo, Okla. On Aug. 10, 1940, he married Delilah Jane Miller at Alva, Okla. She survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Ronald Lee and Glenn Dean, both of Buffalo, Okla.; two daughters, Glenda Jane Mattheyer, Buffalo, Okla., and Carol Ann Woolfolk, Tribune; a brother, Everett, Ardmore, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: a brother, George; and five sisters, Alta Booth, Myrtle Bell, Nora Huenergardt, Hazel Smith, and Florence Williams. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at First Christian Church, Buffalo, with Minister Rod Reiger presiding. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. today at Myatt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highpoint Cemetery, Buffalo, Okla. Memorials may be sent to the church, in care of the funeral home.
