The Herald Everett, Washington Sunday, June 19, 2011 Gloria Jean Redick Gloria Jean Lakin Redick was born on January 26, 1931 in Seattle, Washington. As a child she attended a serices of schools aamd graduated from Marysville High School in 1949. Gloria married Richard Redick on March 12, 1954. They purchased their home in Everett, Washington two years later. They raised their three children in that home and never moved from the comfort and familiarity of its walls. Among her mary interests were spending time with her family, her friends and her dogs. She was a wonderful cook and a baker, she made amazing pies! For many years, Richard and Gloria enjoyed traveling in their RV, spending winters down south and visiting their family in California. Gloria was proud to have lived to see 80, surpassing both her parents and her grandmother in age. She died peacefully with her family by her side on June 11, 2011. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and caring friend. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marguerite Nelson her father, Charles Lakin and her loving grandmother, Grace Chaney. She is survived by her husband, Richard her children, Vicki and Wes Casey, Stacy and Barbara Redick and Donna and Chris Zamolo her nine grandchldren, Jeremy, Jesse and Emily Casey, Grace and Nichols, Taylor and Mike Redick, Joseph, Olivia and Matthew Zamolo. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Deanie and Helen, were the best and only sisters she had. She is greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at Purdy & Walter's Funeral Home in Everett on June 23, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flwers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
