LAKE DIES IN PORTLAND ----- Mother of Former Longview Residents Succumb to Paralytic Stroke ----- Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. H. C. Lake, who died yesterday morning at her Portland home. Mrs. Lake will be remembered by Longview friends as the mother of Gordon P. Lake, formerly with the Lumberman's Bank and Trust company of Calvin Lake, now living in Seattle and of Rudolph Lake, who recently moved to Portland. Mrs. Fred A. Mullett, a daughter, lives in Quitman, Miss. Mrs. Lake suffered a third paralytic stroke on October 2 from which she failed to recover. Funeral arrangements are pending, waiting for the arrival of Gordon Lake from Louisiana.
