Born in Upper Burlington, January 5, 1921, he was a son of the late Wilbert and Blanche (Brown) Lake. Harold was a veteran of the Second World War, serving overseas, as a member of the West Novies. He retired from construction work in 1978, after many years, he then worked several years for CKF Inc., Hantsport. He is survived by his companion, Rose Ettinger, Upper Burlington; daughters, Eunice Sibbick, Brantford, Ont.; Doris Sutcliffe-Cruis, Chatham, Ont.; Linda Pick, Kentville; sons, Arthur, Greenwich; Donald, Lower Sackville; brother, Carl, Dartmouth. He was predeceased by sister, Stella Westhaver; brothers, Freeman, Albert, Harry, Herman. Cremation has taken place under the care of Lindsay's Funeral Home. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King St., Windsor. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, August 16, in the funeral home chapel, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating.
