                  Harvey D. Lake, Prosperity
                  Harvey D. Lake, 87, widower of Marjorie Bowers Lake,
                  formerly of 9521 Highway 76E., died Wednesday, Jan.
                  12, 2000, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

                  Survivors: a son, Keith D. Lake of Mount Holly, N.C.;
                  a daughter, Barbara L. Leaphart of Prosperity; a
                  sister, Grace Lake of Columbia; brothers, Grover and
                  Curtis Lake; and three grandchildren. Predeceased:
                  parents, Kirk David and Angie Boland Lake; three
                  brothers; and two sisters.

                  Visitation: 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Saturday at
                  McSwain-Evans Funeral Home, with the service at 2 p.m.
                  Burial: Newberry Memorial Gardens.
