Funeral arrangements are incomplete for Helen Phelps-Lake, 80, of Newark.

She passed away Sunday at Licking Memorial Hospital.

Brucker - Kishler Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

A funeral service for Helen Joyce Lake, 80, of Hebron, will be at 4
p.m. Wednesday at Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St.,
Newark. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery at a later date.

Mrs. Lake, a homemaker, passed away Jan. 11, 2009, at Licking Memorial
Hospital. She was born Aug. 27, 1928, in Knox County, to the late James
Martin and Ethel Eleanor (Hartapee) Beck.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Linda) Beck, of Newark, Ed
Moreland, of Columbus, Pamela (Don) Smith, of Newark, Lorna (Gene)
Smith, of Newark, Janet (Norman) Holmes, of Newark, and Rod (Keiko)
Lake, of Dayton; brothers, James Beck, Charles (Louise) Beck, of Newark,
and Dan and Don Beck, both of Newark; grandchildren, Brance and Dennis
Miller; 15 other grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two special
caregivers, Dan Beck and Minnie Rexroad.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by John Lake;
two sons, John Wesley Lake and Terry Moreland; and one sister, Betty Ryan.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
