Helen Lake, 82, of Waco, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 17,
2001.  Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 19, at Connally
Compton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. barry Kemp officiating.
Mrs. Lake was a professor at Baylor University.  She served as Head of
the Department of Business Communications for 26 years, and retired in
1981.  She was a member of Highland Baptist church since 1985.  She will
be dearly missed by family and friends.
Surviviors include her loving husband, John W. Lake; brothers Ralph
Hoeard and wife Caroline of Georgia and Edwin Howard and wife Dorothy of
Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salvation Army.
