TORONTO GLOBE & MAIL -- AUGUST 17, 2002 Toronto Ontario Canada LAKE, Henry Ernest ''Harry'' Passed away at St. Joseph's Health Centre in Toronto, at the age of 84, on Thursday, August 15, 2002, after a long struggle with cancer. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Harry was born in Bolton, Ontario on July 12, 1918 to John and Rebecca Lake. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret, sons John (Carolynn and Travis) of Swift Current, Saskatchewan, and Robert (Susan and Bill) of Okotoks, Alberta. Harry is also survived by his brothers and sisters and their families: George (London, Ontario), Arthur, Mary and Elsie (Toronto) plus nieces and nephews. Harry and Margaret were married in Toronto on November 6th, 1943 while he was on leave from duty on the Sorel (Royal Canadian Navy - Corvette). He spent his working career at Plate and Structural Steel/Amalgamated Metal Industries in Toronto. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas Street West, Etobicoke (between Islington and Kipling Avenues), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Tuesday, August 20 at 1 p.m. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
