Herbert Wolff, 90, son of the late Carl and Frieda Wolff, died at his home in Barryville, NY on July 27, 2018. He was a lifelong resident.

Herb graduated from Eldred Central School in 1946 and Palmer School of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in 1948. In addition to practicing chiropractic, he was a farmer, ran a sawmill, did excavation work, and owned numerous businesses including Deerpark Gun Shop, Whitewater Canoe Rentals, and J& H Homes.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Prigge), to whom he was married for 66 years, daughter, Lynne Mix and husband, Joe, of Morgantown, WV, son, Jay Wolff and wife, Suzanne, of Nolensville, TN, and daughter, Nancy Ponds of Barryville, NY. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Ryan Mix, and his wife, Janine, of Billings, MT, Becky Walters, and her husband, Sean, and their children, Revvi and and Josie of Morgantown, WV, and Katie Mix of Morgantown, WV, Josh Wolff of Nolensville, TN, Chelsea Wolff of Marion, VA, Kim Ponds of Millington, MI, and Lou Ponds of Nashville, TN.

He was predeceased by a sister, Clara White, and brother, Robert Wolff.

Memorial visitation will be held on Aug. 4th from 9 to 11 a.m. and a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Harrison Rasmussen Funeral Home, 3412 Rt. 97, Barryville, NY. Sean Walters officiating. Graveside service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Ambulance Corps in Eldred, NY.
