Tuesday, March 31, 1998 The Halifax Herald Limited FREEMAN, Hilda Elizabeth 89, Centennial Villa, Amherst, died March 29, 1998, in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in Newport Landing, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Edith (Mosher) LAKE. She was a school teacher at Warren School before her marriage in 1930. She was an active worker in First Baptist Church and with volunteer groups in Amherst. Following the death of her husband, she lived for seven years in Edmonton, Alta., and in later years in Wolfville. Surviving are son, Donald (and his family), Edmonton. She was predeceased by her husband, James MacDonald Freeman; sisters, Ruby Little, Pearl McEwan, Myrna Levy; brothers, Harvey, Wilfred. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst. Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday in Cumberland Memorial Chapel, Rev. Byron Corkum officiating. Burial at a later date in Amherst Cemetery.
