Lansing MI

Lake, Iola J. Lansing, MI Age 82, passed away on June 17, 2003. She was
born on December 1, 1920, in Howard City, MI, and had lived in Lansing
most of her life, coming here from Coral City, MI. Ms. Lake was employed
at the State of Michigan, Vehicles Division, for 41 years, retiring in
1986, and was affiliated with Lansing Teen Challenge. She was preceded in
death by her parents, Claude Lake and Ethany (Frank) Bassett; and by her
sister, Frances Wicks. Surviving are several cousins, including Don Gage
and family of Coral, MI; and friends and caretakers, Vena Challender and
Janice Westgate.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday,
June 20, 2003, at Coral Cemetery in Coral, MI. Visitation will be from
4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. In lieu
of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lansing Teen Challenge
in memory of Iola J.  Lake.
