IONE F. (LAKE) BARNES

    Ione F. (Lake) Barnes, 90, of Midland, died Tuesday, June 13, 2000, at 
Dublin Manor.
The daughter of the late Floyd & Margaret (Goetz) Lake was born March 23, 
1910, in Chelsea and was raised and educated in Alma, graduating from Alma 
High School in 1927. She married Gilbert Lawrence Barnes on Sept. 7, 1930, in 
Big Rapids and he predeceased her on Jan. 9, 1989. Mrs. Barnes lived in the 
Alma area until making Midland her home in 1977.
Ione is survived by one son, Gordon (Judith) Barnes of Manchester, MO.; one 
daughter, Donna Mae (Duane) Dosson of Midland; six grandchildren; and 13 
great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one sister, Katheryne Schumm; and 
two brothers Frank Lake and Robert Lake.
Funeral services for Mrs. Barnes will be conducted at 11am Saturday, June 17, 
2000, from the Wilson Miller Funeral Home. Internment will be in Riverside 
Cemetery in Alma.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 PM and on Saturday 
from 10am until the time of service.
