Journal News; Hamilton OH; 2005-1-1 PATTON, Irene Age 89, of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton at Sunrise on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at 4:20 a.m. She was born in Jackson County, Kentucky on June 2, 1915, the daughter of Fred and Fannie (Hurst) Lakes. Irene was a homemaker, volunteered at Mercy Hospital of Hamilton, and was a member of Ross Avenue Church of God. On August 10, 1935, in Brookville, Indiana she was married to Cecil Patton and he preceded her in death on September 7, 1984. A beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, Irene is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Myrna and Linwood Day of Wayne Township; three grandchildren, Cecile Day of Wayne Township, Doug (Kelley) Day of Hanover Township and Mike (Angie) Day of Milford Township; three great-grandchildren, Aaron, Scott, and Andy; two sisters, Juanita Helton of Homosassa Springs, Florida and Virginia Farmer of Hamilton; one brother, Earl (Lou) Lakes of Hamilton; her friend, Edna Wehrley of Hamilton; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Bennie Lakes; and three sisters, Olive Welsh, Viola Smith, and LaVerne Day. Funeral service will be held at the Brown Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, January 3, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Dale French, Pastor of the Ross Avenue Church of God, officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
