IRENE TUNISON Irene Tunison, age 99, of Lincoln, died Aug. 3, 2007, in Lincoln Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. She was born in Horton Bay, Mich., on July 3, 1908, to Warren and Myra (Lake) Sumner. She was raised in Horton Bay, spent most of her life in Boyne City, and after living in Bay Shore she then moved to Lincoln in 1985. Irene was married to Joseph Corwin, who died in 1941. She was married to Bill Baker, he died in 1946. In 1953, Irene married Bill Tunison who preceded her in death in 1968. Irene was a homemaker and a member of Solid Rock Church of God. Irene is survived by two daughters, Thelma (Arthur-deceased) Utter of Lincoln and Josephine (Jim) Cole of Bay Shore; her son Clarence (Judy) Corwin of North Branch; her sister Angie (Jim-deceased) Barkley of Horton Bay; her daughter-in-law Joanie (Samuel) Corwin; and a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Irene was preceded in death by her sons Harold and Samuel Corwin; her daughter Leona (Harold) Morrison; her brothers, Dwight and Philo Sumner; and her sister Hilda Rogers. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln and Monday at Solid Rock Church of God, Harrisville, from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Edward Morrison officiating. Interment will be 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2007 at Evangeline Cemetery, Boyne City, Mich.
