grandfather of Melissa, Michelle, Holly, Samantha, Logan, Jeremy, and
Alexander; brother of Alice May Backoefer. Friends will be received at
SHIRLEY-KUKICH FUNERAL HOME, INC., Clay Pike, N. Huntingdon Saturday
7-9 pm and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service Monday, 11:30 am in

J. Martin "Marty" Lake, 67, of North Huntingdon died Jan. 25, 2002, in
Presbyterian Hospital.  Born March 31, 1934, in Pittsburgh, he was the
son of Joseph and Loretta (Vietch) Lake. Mr. Lake was a retired machinist
with Westinghouse Electric.  He was a member of Pittsburgh Rockets Drum
and Bugle Corps, Herminie No. 2 Sportsman's Club, Pitt Pounders Leather
Guild and Holland American's Cruise Club.  Surviving are his wife of
47 years, Joyce (Tranter) Lake; sons, Steven of Corpus Christi, Texas,
and Wayne Lake of Berkley Springs, W. Va.; a daughter, Marcy Horvath
of Irwin; a sister, Alice May Backoefer; and seven grandchildren.
Friends were received at Shirley-Kukich Funeral Home. Interment was at
Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park.
