The Daily Journal, Vineland, NJ Tuesday October 25, 2011 JAMES EDWARD ROBBINS, 55 Mechanic James Edward Robbins, 55, of Millville died Sunday morning, Oct. 23, 2011, in South Jersey Extended Care, Bridgeton. Born and raised in Millville, he graduated from Millville Senior High School, Class of 1973. During his school years, he was active with the Boy Scouts, delivered papers and loved being active. For many years Mr. Robbins worked as a mechanic for Wheaton Industries, where he repaired machines. He then worked for Leone Industries in Bridgeton as a mechanic. Due to his health, he retired. Mr. Robbins enjoyed being with his son and family, having barbecues, taking rides, eating crabs and clams, and enjoying his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing, canoeing, hunting, car racing, hiking and just being a true outdoors man. He treasured his friends that he had. Mr. Robbins is survived by his companion, Lorraine Heichel; his son, James O. Robbins Sr. and his fiance Ashley of Millville; one daughter, Heather Robbins of Millville,; one brother, Joseph J. Robbins of Millville; and three grandchildren, James O. Robbins Jr., Logan and Lani Robbins. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph L. Robbins and Florence (Burcher); and one sister, Florence Springer. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad St., Millville. There will be a viewing on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Written tributes may be sent to www.christyfuneralservice.com.
