LAKE,  James Joseph Friday, November 12th, 1999, Jim Lake died in his 95th
year at Saint Luke`s Home in St. John`s, Newfoundland and is lovingly
remembered by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren,
his sisters Margaret and Julia and his many relatives and friends. His
years of service to the community as a member of the Royal Newfoundland
Constabulary made him a well-known and respected police officer. His
devotion to his church and his abiding faith in humanity made him
many friends who join in mourning his passing. The remains are resting
at Caul`s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Rd. Visitation from 7 PM - 9 PM on
Saturday and from 2 PM - 5 PM and 7 PM - 9 PM on Sunday. A Vigil Service
will be held at 8 PM on Sunday and a Funeral Mass will be held at the
Basilica of St. John the Baptist on Monday, November 15th, at 9:30 AM
followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to the Children`s
Wish Foundation will be greatly appreciated.November 13, 1999
