THE NEWS TRIBUNE (Tacoma, WA); Monday, September 4, 2006; B4; Col. 5 James L. Lake Born 8/2/1922 in Indiana to Hershel and Alice Lake, went to be with the Lord on August 31, 2006. Survived by his wife, of 47 years, Virginia Lake, children, Dave (Tina) Elp, Eva Skinner, Edmund (Linda) Lake, Carol Lake, James M. Baker, Mark Bartram (all of the Tacoma-Puyallup area and Cheryl (Eric) Hickman (Indiana), 17 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 3 sisters, Beniece, Patty and Jane. During his life, he worked as a smelter worker, farmer, and general handy man. He attended the New Life United Pentecostal Church. Burial will be a 1:30 PM, Sept. 6, at the Tahoma National Cemetery. Note: One of the sisters, Beniece, looks like it should be Berniece, but it is published in the obit without an "r" (in case you wonder ;-)
