Born Aug. 25, 1964, in Ranson, he was the son of James S. Lake Sr. and Mabel Stokes Lake Clemons. He has been employed for the past 17 years with Montgomery County, Md. He attended the Bolivar Pentecostal Church. He was a member of the United Food & Commercial Workers International Union Local 400, Gaithersburg, Md. He leaves his mother, Mabel Stokes Lake Clemons, of Bolviar; wife Doris Ann Lake, at home; two stepdaughters, Chasity Madison, of Hopewell, N.C., and Melissa Madison, of Petersburg, Va.; two stepsons, David Lee Madison, of Martinsburg, and Jamey Scott Madison, of Charles Town; fivesisters Janice Lake, of Everett, Pa., and Lori Nave, of Bolivar; two brothers, Gary Lake, Damasus, Md., and Rickey Lake, of Inwood; 11 stepgrandchildren; three uncles; five aunts; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb.22, 2003, at the Eackles-Spencer Funeral Home Harpers Ferry, with the Rev. B.G. Turner officiating, Interment will be in the Fairview Lutheran Cemetery, Bolivar. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p. m. Friday, at the funeral home.
