Born in Fox River, he was a son of the late Stanley and Annie (Glennie) Lake. He was employed with C.E. Harrison & Sons, Wagstaff and Hatfield Shipyard and Scott Paper for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball, his dogs and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, the former Elaine Pettigrew; daughters, Betsy (Tim) Girven, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.; Shawna Cameron (Carl), Parrsboro; sons, James (Geraldine), Stanley (Robin), all of Amherst; Tim (Sharlene), Parrsboro; son-in-law, John Hiltz, Fox River; sisters, Cynthia Hatfield, Fox River; Jessie Brown (Gerald), Southampton; brother, Harold, Sussex, N.B.; grandchildren, James Hatfield and Trevor Lake, both of Amherst; Jenny, Amy, Carmen and John Cameron, all of Parrsboro; Jonathan Lake, Parrsboro; James and Justin Lake, Hamilton, Ont.; Jordan Lake and Sherman McGrath, Parrsboro; great-grandchildren, Seth, Nate, Denver, and James. He was predeceased by daughter, Annie Hiltz; sister, Janette. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today in Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Rev.
