Florida Times-Union; Jacksonville FL; 2004-11-19 LAKE Funeral services for James Wesley Lake, Jr., 71, will be held at 12:30 P.M. Saturday in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Born February 22, 1933 in Troy, Alabama, Mr. Lake died Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at his home in Mandarin. He served as a sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a retired meatcutter from A & P Groceries and Tillman's Meat Shop. Survivors include his wife , Mrs. Ruby Lee Anderson Lake of Mandarin; three daughters, LaVerne Morgan of Hawthorne, FL, Susan Clark of Switzerland, FL, and Patricia Kernodle of Greer, SC; three sons, Allen Flakes of Fernandina Beach, FL, Wesley Lake of Keystone Heights, FL, and Bobby Lake of Mandarin; two sisters, Lucille Headley of Troy, Al and Clara Sizemore of Pace, FL; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
