Scranton Times; Scranton PA; 2008-12-5 Jane C Davis December 3, 2008 Jane C. Davis of Tunkhannock died Wednesday in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. Her husband of 62 years is Donald E. Davis. Born Nov. 12, 1921, in Kingston, daughter of the late Russell and Jane Evans Case, she was a 1937 graduate of Dalls Twp. High School and had been employed by commonwealth Telephone Co., Dallas, Citizens National Bank, Tunkhannock, and retired from the Tunkhannock Area School District after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Tunkhannock United Methodist Church and Tunkhannock Women's Club and was a former den mother for the Tunkhannock Cub Scouts. She was also active in the Tunkhannock Girl Scouts, receiving the Curved Bar Award. She was very active in her community and church and was a devoted mother and loving grandmother. Also surviving are two sons, Donald and wife, Barbara Davis, Tunkhannock, and Rusty and wife, Carollyn, Lake Winola, a daughter, Deborah and husband, Michael Yager, Dallas, five grandchildren, Melissa Banks, Mathew, Allison, Katie and Stephen Davis and a great-grandson, Dylan Banks. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Case. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 West Tioga St., Tunkhannock, by the Rev. Craig Gomer, paster of the Tunkhannock United Methodist Church, Interment, Fern Knoll Cemetery, Dallas. There will be no calling hours.
