The Detroit News; Detroit MI; 1999-11-9 HOEHNER,JANE ELIZABETH (LAKE) Age 86, of Wilmington, DE, died at her daughter's residence in Landenberg, PA, on Thursday, October 7, 1999. Mrs. Hoehner was born March 20, 1913, in Sebewaing, MI, raised in Saginaw, and lived for many years in Detroit and Orchard Lake. Her greatgrandfather, Henry Campau, was considered the first pioneer settler in what is now Frankenmuth, arriving in 1818. Her grandmother, Julia Veit, was the first pioneer child born there. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, William E. Hoehner, age 89; two sons, William L. Hoehner, Mishawaka, IN and John F. Hoehner, O Fallon, MO; daughter, Martha J. Menzel, Landenberg, PA; and 7 grandchildren, Anne Scialabba, Chicago, IL, Jane Hoehner Bastianelli, Berkley, MI, Amy Hoehner, Indianapolis, IN, Michael and Katherine Menzel, Landenberg, PA and Adrianne and Andrew Hoehner, Mishawaka, IN. Survivors also include Julia J. (Gugel) Kamenoff, Orchard Lake, MI and Katherine (Gugel) Stewart, El Cajon, CA. Interment will be at Glen Eden Memorial Park, Livonia, MI.
