March 9, 2000 Janet Lois (Edgerly) Lake Retired Senior Consultant HARTFORD - Janet Lois (Edgerly) Lake has gone to be with the Lord (March 7, 2000) after a most courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 26, 1944 and was the daughter of Thomas B. and Ruby (Bockus) Edgerly. Janet graduated from East Hartford High in 1962. She worked for over 30 years at Aetna Life, the last few years as a Senior Consultant for the Select Account Services-Midwest Regions Employee Benefits Division, retiring in 1999. She leaves her mother, Ruby Edgerly of Storrs; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Stephen T. and Sharon Edgerly of Avon and Allan D. and Carol Edgerly of East Hartford; two uncles, Morley Cockerline of the province of Quebec, Canada and Donald Rember of East Hartford; a nephew, Kevin Edgerly and his wife, Debbie of East Hartford; a nephew, Tim Edgerly of Jupiter, FL; a nephew, Jeff Edgerly of Avon; a niece, Christine Edgerly of East Hartford; nephews, Gregory and Richard Kearns of Avon and a grandniece and nephew, Dawn and Ryan Edgerly of East Hartford. Janet also leaves her former husband, Loren Lake of Florida and many cousins, both here and in Canada. Janet loved her cats, Micha and Toby and her very special friends, Marcia, Olga Mae, Joyce, Joe and many more. Janet is gone, but her lust for life and her special flair for entertaining, and her care and grace will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 12, 2000 at 2:30 p.m. at the First Church of Christ Congregational, 250 Main St., Wethersfield.
