Lake, 60, of Prospect Street, Susquehanna, Pa., passed away Saturday, August 14, 2004, at the Barnes Kasson Hospital, Susquehanna, after an illness. She was born in Susquehanna, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Louise (Smith) DeAngelis. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald A. Lake, on April 9, 2004. Janice is survived by one brother, Albert DeAngelis, Susquehanna; three sisters, Carolyn and Homer Wood, Windsor, N.Y., Joan Race, Binghamton, N.Y., Mary DeAngelis; and friend, David Evans, Binghamton, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews; and her faithful pet and companion, Casey. Janice was a graduate of Laurel Hill Academy and a member of the St. John's Church of Susquehanna. She was co-owner of Lakey's Inc. of Susquehanna. The funeral service will held on Tuesday, August 17, at 10 a.m., at the St. John's Church in Susquehanna where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Rev. Robert Simon. Burial will be in the St. John's Cemetery in Susquehanna. The family will receive friends at the Hennessey's Funeral Home, 208 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna, on Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society
