Janice Lake-Hernandez

Janice Lynn Lake-Hernandez, 47, Muscatine, died Wednesday, Nov. 20,
2002, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City.

Services are noon Saturday at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home.
The Rev. Sharon Phillips will officiate.

Visitation is 10 a.m.-noon Saturday at the funeral home.  A memorial
has been established at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lake-Hernandez was born Nov. 15, 1955, in Musctine, the daughter
of  Ralph Leroy and Lottie May Grayson Lake. She married Eugene Garcia,
May 15, 1982, in Rock Island, IL.  After his death she later married
Carlos Hernandez.

She was a bookkepper throughout her life.  She enjoyed crocheting,
sewing, crafts, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her mother, Lottie Lake; four sons, Nathan S. Lake and
fiance Dora A. Garcia, Aaron E.  Lake-Garcia, Slex J. Lake-Garcia and
Daniel J.  Lake-Garcia, all of Muscatine; two sisters, Barbara Carlton
and Sandra Schaaf, both of Muscatine; two half-sisters, JoAnn Grayson of
Houston, Texas and Sharon Strand of Minneapolis, Minn.; four brothers,
John Lake of Temple, GA, Lenneth Lake of Washingtonville, NY, Roger Lake
and David Lake, both of Muscatine; two half-brothers, Dennis Flynn of
Davenport and Ronald Lake of Muscatine.

She was preceded in death by her father, her husband Eugene; and two
sisters, Lisa Ann Lake and Marina Sue Lake.
