Jeannette Vehon LAKE, 85, passed away 8/10/04 at her home in Apache
Junction. She is survived by her husband, Robert Lake, daughters Barbara
Cline and Dorothy Lake, sons Joe Vehon, Tony Vehon, Thom Vehon, and
David Vehon, 15 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. Born in Ohio
and raised in Indiana, Jeannette received her Bachelor's degree from
Hillsdale College, Hillsdale, Michigan, in Home Economics and Science.
During WWII she served with the American Red Cross in Hawaii. Jeannette
moved to Phoenix in 1958. Founder of Real Estate Investment Company in
1959 (renamed Lake Realty in 1968), Jeannette remained very active in
Real Estate as well as the Apache Junction Chamber of Commerce, Apache
Junction School District and many other community service projects until
her illness forced her to slow down. Viewing and Funeral services will be
held at Central Christian Church, 933 N. Lindsay Rd., Mesa, AZ., 85213
with burial immediately following at Mountain View Memorial Gardens,
7900 E. Main St., Mesa. Viewing will be held Monday, Sept. 13th from
6:30 to 8:00 PM and Funeral Tuesday Sept. 14th at 10:00 AM. In lieu of
flowers, a scholarship fund is being set up in her name at the Apache
Junction Unified School District. Donations to the fund can be mailed
in care of Michaelene Murphy, AJUSD, 2525 S. Ironwood Drive, Apache
