24 August 1938 Tonawanda News North Tonawanda NY Woman Found Dead in Home A certificate of death by natural causes was issued today by Tonawanda city physician. Dr. Russel H. Wilcox, in the death of Mrs. Jennie Lake, 67, of 28 Maple street who was found dead beside her bed late this afternoon. Mrs. Theresa Greenzweig who lives in the upper flat at the same address notified Tonawanda's Chief of Police, George C. Marohn, when she failed to see or hear Mrs. Lake at any time during the morning. Chief Marohn detailed officer Charles Jendrian to the address where the body of Mrs. Lake as subsequently discovered. 25 August 1938 Tonawanda News North Tonawanda NY LAKE - Jennie Lake, nee Allan, 67, of 28 Maple street, died suddenly at home yesterday. She was born in Springville, N. Y., and had resided in Tonawanda for the past 22 years. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Earl Georgia of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Raymond Burns of Buffalo, N. Y., three sons, Raymond and Elmer of Tonawanda and Floyd of Kenmore, N. Y., and one grandson. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Olin Reed of Flint, Mich., Mrs. John Foster, Flint, Mich., two brothers, Jay Allan of Flint, Mich., and Orville Allan of Everette, Mich. The funeral will be from the residence Saturday at one o'clock, with the Rev. Charles H. Gall officiating. Burial will be at Corfu, N. Y.
