Joan M. Lake
Joan Margaret Lake, 79, of Mount Clemens, died Saturday, May 20, 2006, in
Mount Clemens General Hospital. She was born April 16, 1927, in Pontiac.
Ms. Lake retired in 1980 from the Holiday Inn in Warren after 10 years
of employment as a bartender. She formerly had worked as a bank teller
at Pontiac State Bank and Community National Bank in Pontiac for more
than five years.

A member of Macomb Baptist Church in Clinton Township, she was an avid
reader who enjoyed sewing, embroidery, craftwork, gardening and collecting
owl figures.

She is survived by her children, Donna Lake of Clinton Township,
Cheryl Jones of LaPorte, Texas, Ian (Linda) Lake of Fayetteville,
N.C.; sister, Lane Taylor of Lake Orion; six grandchildren; and nine
great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her sister, Donna Cole; and parents, Jesse and
Blanche (nee Thompson) Ray.

Private services were handled by Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, Mount
Clemens.
