Culpeper Star Exponent; Culpeper VA; 2004-4-18

Joanne Leathers, 63, of Elkwood, died Saturday, April 17, 2004, at the
University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. She was born
December 24, 1940 in Warrenton to the late Homer Franklin Lake and to
Madeline Cowne Lake.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Leathers is survived by three children,
David Leathers and his wife, Tammy, and their children, Jessica, Abigail
and Audrey, all of Strasburg, Terry Lassiter and her husband, William,
and their children, Andy and Holly, all of Virginia Beach, and Travis
Leathers and his wife, Elizabeth, and their daughter, Delaney, all of
Virginia Beach.

She is also survived by a sister, Ada Noakes of Bedford; a brother,
Bud Lake of La Placitas, N.M.; and numerous other extended family,
friends and loved ones.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at
Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 20, at 2 p.m. at Found
and Sons Chapel.

Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is in charge of the
arrangements.
