Johanna Boer Lake
Johanna Boer Lake, 87, of Westlake Village, Calif., formerly Palm Springs,
Calif., passed away May 12, 2009 in Westlake Village, Calif.  She was born
on Dec. 1, 1921 to Jack and Angelina Boer in San Jose, Calif. She married
Alvin Lake on May 24, 1941 in San Jose, Calif.  Johanna was the owner of
Freckles Boutique, a children's clothing store in Agoura Hills, Calif.,
for ten years and the owner and bookkeeper of Lake Air Conditioning
in Palm Springs, Calif. for 25 years. She is survived by, daughters,
Linda Arnett of Westlake Village, Calif., Jeanette Connor of Del Mar,
Calif.; son, Dick Lake of Rancho Mirage, Calif.; son-in-law, Tim Arnett
of Westlake, Calif.; sister, Gert Jensen of Indio, Calif.; brother, Herb
Boer of San Jose, Calif.;10 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren. She
was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Lake. Graveside services will
be at 10:30 AM on May 23, 2009 at Desert Memorial Park in Cathedral City,
