Vancouver Sun; Vancouver BC Canada; 2003-5-3 LAKE, John Albert "Edgar" passed away in the Outlook and District Pioneer Home, Outlook Sask on Thursday 17 April 2003 at the age of 88 years. He was predeceased by his parents Bert and May Lake, his two brothers Charles and Vern, his first wife Agnes (HURLY) in 1991. his second wife Eileen (LYONS LORIMER HUDEC) in 2001 . his step-nephew Garry Sutherland and his step-son-in-law Wade Ignatescu. Edgar is survived by one sister-in-law Vivian Lake and niece Bryony Jane Lake (Rob Von Rudloff) both of Victoria, BC. He will be sadly missed by numerous west coast cousins, especially Hugh(Colleen) McDiamid, Jean (Tom) Hawkins and Don (Helen) McMichael, many cousins throughout North America as well as the special friends he made during his years of service in the Army, working for the C.N. and at Vancouver Hastings Racecourse Exhibition Park. He will also be fondly remembered by Eileen's family, Lois (Joe) Stadnyk, Colleen (Gary)Lewis, Donna Ignatescu, Diane (Vic) Koch, Errol (Trish) Hudec, 17 step-grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service was held on 26 April 2003 at 1.00 pm at the Outlook United Church with Barry Friesen officiating. Interment will take place in Melvin, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Outlook and District Health Foundation, Box 427, Outlook, Sask. S0L 2N0 or to the Saskatchewan Lung Association, 1231-8th St. E, Saskatoon, Sask.
