Niagara Gazette Niagara Falls NY 2016-10-15 John D. Robins, Sr., departed unexpectedly on October 7, 2016. Born on July 29, 1957 in Niagara Falls, he is the son of John C. and Patricia (Smith) Robins. He attended local schools in Niagara Falls and Lew-Port High School. John was a carpenter who had his own business. He had a passion for music, was a singer-songwriter who would send his music to record companies to be published, and was a finalist in a country singing tv show, "Be A Star." John was also a fitness and line dance instructor. He enjoyed woodworking, loved his family, had an enormous warm and caring heart. John first married Betty Beckett, followed by June Robins, and later he would meet and marry his current wife, Patricia (Maslen) Robins of Niagara Falls. Along with them, John is survived by his son, John D. (Rachel) Robins II of Albion; daughters, Heather Robins of Spencerport, Cassaundra Robins of Niagara Falls, Dena (Alfredo) Martinez of North Tonawanda and Courtney Robins of Niagara Falls; stepdaughter, Stacie Koops Toscan of Flordia; brothers, Sean Robins and Christopher (Melanie) Robins, all of Alabama; grandchildren, Aiden, Colton Gunner, Alyahna, Victor, Estrella, Dallas, Trevin, Teah and Kaylie; nephews, Sean Milczarski and David Milczarski; niece, Jennifer (Kaleb) Benton; amongst many additional nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial service will be held on November 5th at 3 PM at Exley Methodist Church in Wilson. Reception to follow service. Arrangements by Hamilton and Clark Funeral Home.
