John "JR" Gerald Robbins, a devoted and caring husband, father and
grandfather, died on Monday, July 11, 2011 in the Piedmont Hospital in
Atlanta, GA.  Mr. Robbins, who lived in Lower Providence Township, was
62 years old and was the loving husband of 38 years to Sandra A. (nee
Pearson) Robbins.  "JR" was born in Norristown on April 3, 1949, a son
to the late Ronald and Clarissa (nee Jenkins) Robbins.  Mr. Robbins
formerly owned and operated JR Excavating, Inc.  His interests included
motorcycles, gardening, and spending time with his family at their beach
home in Maryland.  He was affiliated with several motorcycle organizations
throughout his life, and was a member of Operating Engineers Union
Local 542.  His daughter, Lisa A. Larkin and her husband Kyle W. of
Norristown; a son John G. Robbins, Jr. of Collegeville and his fiancee
Lindsay A. Brault, survive him, along with his grandchildren Brock and
Juliette Larkin.  His siblings Ida Jane Heyser and her husband John of
Collegeville, Charlotte Reed and her husband Bill of Oranage City, FL,
Barry Robbins of Perkasie, Jerry Robbins and his wife Kathy of Trappe,
Robin Parker of Norristown, Edward Robbins and his wife Heidi of Trooper,
also survive him.  His brothers Ronald and David Robbins also preceded him
in death.  His sisters-in-law Marion Robbins of Green Lane, and Barbara
Robbins-Arthur of Warrington survive him also along with many nieces
and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to share in "JR's" Life
Celebration at the Boyd-Horroxs Funeral Home of East Norriton, 200 West
Germantown Pike, (1-800-GIVNISH) on Sunday, July 17 from 11 a.m. and
until the time of funeral service at 3 p.m. Burial will be private.
