LAKE, REV. JOHN: Peacefully at the Norfolk General Hospital on Friday
September 9, 2006, of Cedarwood Village in his 87th year. Beloved
husband of the late Ruth (Culver). Dear stepfather of Marie Douglas
(Fred) of R.R. 4, Waterford. Grandfather of Kelly and Bob Schmitte,
Wendy and John Goble, great grandfather of David, Rebecca Schmitte;
Samantha, Brittney Goble. Brother of Dorothy Anderson, Stratford.
Predeceased by a sister Viola Snider. Rev. Lake is a retired United
Church minister, having ministered at Mt. Zion Church Renton, Harriston,
Wheatley, and at several other communities. After his retirement he
spent winters in Florida and summers in the Simcoe area. Friends were
received at Thompson-Mott Funeral Home, Waterford. The Funeral Service
was held Tuesday at Old Windham United Church Glendale Cr. Simcoe,
Rev.  Bev Thompson officiated. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Masonic
memorial service was held Monday evening at the funeral home. Memorial
