Times Herald-Record Middletown, NY 6 Nov 2012 JOHN "JACK" THOMAS FREY June 23, 1942 - November 4, 2012 Greenwood Lake, NY John "Jack" Thomas Frey, a retired foreman for Chester Cable and longtime Greenwood Lake resident, died Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Schervier Pavilion in Warwick. He was 70. The son of the late John and Evelyn Welch Frey, he was born on June 23, 1942 in New York, NY. He was a member of the Greenwood Lake Elks; he formerly coached the Greenwood Lake Soccer Club and he was formerly involved with the Gaelic Cultural Society in Greenwood Lake. A family statement reads: "Jack was a fun loving man who you could set your watch by. He learned to speak volumes with his eyes and mannerisms when he no longer had a voice. He will be missed by all who knew him." Survivors include his children, Sean Frey and his wife, Rebecca of Greenwood Lake, Erin Frey and her fiance, Frank Lotito of Greenwood Lake; his former wife and caregiver, Eileen Frey of Greenwood Lake; his sister, Patricia Elter and her husband, John of Chester, NY; his grandchildren, Bailie and Kylie; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jack was predeceased by his wife, Ellen Budrow-Frey. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the Strong-Basile Funeral Home, 4 Oak Street, Greenwood Lake. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday November 7, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake. Burial will follow at St. Stephen's Cemetery in Warwick, NY.
