Immigrated to the U.S. at the age of 1. Grew up in the Bay Area. Served in the U.S. Coast Guard on the Corpus Christi during WWII. Raised his family in Sacramento. A truck driver for many years, retired from ITT Continental Baking Co. Teamsters Local 150 to reside happily at Lake of the Pines, Auburn. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Winifred; daughters, Bonnie and Lori; grandchildren, Lindsay, Brian, Kyle and Kristin. Arrangements by Neptune Society. Born on Guernsey Island, Channel Isles, his family immigrated to the U.S. at the age of 1. Grew up in the Bay Area, where he met his wife Winifred. Served in the U.S. Coastguard on the Corpus Christi during World War II. John and Winnie lived in Sacramento for 28 years where they raised their two daughters. John enjoyed many boating outings with his family and moved to Lake of the Pines where he could retire and happily reside near the water. A truck driver for many years, John was a "proud Teamster retiree" from ITT Continental Baking Co. Survived by his wife of 57 years; daughters Bonnie and Lori; grandchildren, Lindsay, Brian, Kyle and Kristin. Arrangements by the Neptune Society.
