Braxton Citizens News Sutton WV 7 Oct 2008 John William Lake, 65, of Weston, WV passed away on Friday Sept. 26, 2008 at the home of his daughter, Theresa, after a long illness. John was born on October 31, 1942 in Braxton County, a son of the late Hayward and Leo Dennison Lake. He was a retired Iron Worker and member of Local #84 in Houston, Texas and Pentecostal by faith. He is survived by two sons, Dwayne Lake of Arizona and William Lake of Texas; Two daughters, Theresa Hope of Weston and Eva Schoubroek of Arizona. One brother, Don Lake of Ireland, WV; Two sisters, Kathlene Cooper of Sherman TX and Doraleen Williams of Purdon, TX and 14 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM on Friday October 3, 2008 at Stockert-Gibson Funeral Home in Flatwoods, WV with Pastor Mark Anderson officiating. Burial was in Flatwoods Cemetery in Flatwoods. Friends called from 6-8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
