Lake, 70, husband of Mary (Clifford) Lake and the late Barbara (Ahern) Lake, died Thursday, April 11, 2002, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Born in Chelsea, son of the late James and Matilda (Mullett) Lake, he was raised and educated in Chelsea and lived in Revere most of his life. Mr. Lake worked in the fishing industry for many years and was employed by Globe Fish Co. in Boston for several years. He was a member of the Masons and enjoyed fishing. Surviving him in addition to wife, are two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Denise Lake of West Peabody; Stephen and Tess Lake of Danvers; one daughter and son-in-law, Paula and William McGann of Beverly; four brothers, Peter Lake of Chelsea; William Lake of Revere; Robert Lake of Arlington; Philip Lake of Beverly; one sister, Ann Evans of Beverly; two grandchildren, Caitlyn and Brittany Lake of West Peabody; and several nieces and nephews.
