The Blade; Toledo OHIO; 2000-3-10 & 2000-3-11 Joyce A. Shonebarger, age 76 years, passed away Wednesday, March 8,2000, at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Joyce was born on August 9, 1923, in Toledo, Ohio to her parents, Charles and Ida Lake. She was a member of the K. of C. ettes, and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society at St. Catherines Church where she was an active member for many years. Surviving are her loving children, Julie (Bob) Lewandowski, James (Debbie), Paula (Ray) Butler, Mary Beth (Ken) Mallett, Mark and Thomas; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her loving brothers, Robert G (Maryann) Lake and James (Carol) Lake, and loving sisters, Mary (Louis) Wehde and Carol (Will) Click. Joyce was recently preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Paul L., and now they have eternity together. She is also preceded in death by brothers, George and John Lake. Joyce loved music and dancing, and she was as sharp as a razor and soft as a prayer. Her greatest joy was her family and will be dearly missed by all of them. Friends and family may visit at the Blanchard Bros. Funeral Home, 1163 W. Sylvania Ave. at Lockwood, from 209 p.m. Friday, with a Rosary service at 4:30 p.m. Prayers will be offered in the mortuary Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherines Church at 10 a.m. officiated by Father Mike Hohenbrink. Interment will be at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to St. Catherines Building Fund or to the Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
