She was born in Halifax County, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Frances (Thomas) Carroll. Joyce was an avid traveler, bowler and bingo player. She enjoyed cooking, baking and sharing with others. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Louis) Godin, Dartmouth; sons, Douglas (Sherry) Graham, East Petpeswick; William (Anne) Lake, Halifax; James (Cathy Murphy) Lake, Dartmouth; sisters, Barb (Vince) Mitchell, Dolly (Carl) Peters, Marguerite Sarson, Helen (Ed) Muise, Betty Jennings; brothers, George (Joan) Carroll, Charlie (Joan), Johnnie (Joan); 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence; son, Melvin Graham; sister, Irene Bangay, and brothers, Billy and Edward Carroll. Visitation today 7-9 p.m., funeral 2 p.m. Friday, both in A.L.
