     Julia  C.  Lake, 94, died Tuesday, August 3, 1999, in the Guttenberg
Care Center after a short illness.   Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday,
St. Mary's Catholic Church, by Monsignor John McClean.   Burial: Mount
Olivet Cemetery.

     Survivors include a son, Edward of Lockport, Ill., and a sister,
Helen Cathcart of Chicago.
