June Elizabeth Lewis Raub
formerly of Brackney, Pa.
June E. Lewis Raub went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, June 4,
2008. She was predeceased by her husband, Leon G. Raub; parents, Salmon
and Pearl Lewis; two brothers, three sisters; son-in-law, Donald Shafer,
grandson, Tim Shafer.  She is survived by her children and spouses, Sharon
Shafer and Paul Merwin, Susan and David Smith, David and Joann Raub,
Eileen and Rick Ellis, Raymond and Lori Raub; as well as 10 grandchildren,
12 great-grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Edgar W. and
Edith Lewis; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Robert Altemare;
brother-in-law, Andrew Medel; several nieces and nephews. June was a
loving mother and grandmother. Her cheerful spirit and compassionate,
loving nature was an inspiration to all who knew her. She resided at
Lincoln Court Apartments where she was Vice President of the Tenant's
Association; she enjoyed the companionship and loving friendship of
many friends and neighbors. She'll be greatly missed by all those whose
lives she touched.  Memorial Services will be held at Crossroads of Life
Church, 20 Exchange St., Binghamton, N.Y. at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 14,
2008. Following family request, please omit flowers, and make memorial
contributions to the Hospice Program, c/o Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital,
169 Riverside Dr., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905 in June Raub's memory.
