June Schreiner

June C. Schreiner, 72, of Grand Island died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kleine Funeral Home Chapel. Richard Fritz will officiate. A private burial will be held at a later date in the Grand Island City Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.

Mrs. Schreiner was born June 1, 1929, in Grand Island to George and Ruth (Frank) Linaberry. She was raised and attended school in Grand Island, graduating from Grand Island Senior High.

She married Donald Schreiner on Oct. 9, 1951. The couple celebrated their 50th anniversary this year. She worked at St. Francis Medical Center in the baby wing and later worked for K mart.

She was a member of Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Grand Island. She was an avid reader and enjoyed yellow roses and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband; a son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Elaine Schreiner of Grand Island; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lori Jo and Duane Bebee, and Margare and Charles Paggi, all of Grand Island; a stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Sherry L. and Ron Summers of Grand Island; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Maurice Olson of Fort Myers, Fla., and Charlene and Phil Stuart of Brandon, Fla.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, George Schreiner and a daughter, Linda S. Brundage.
