They had gotten married in a double wedding ceremony with her first cousin, Elizabeth, who married Silvian Johnson. Mrs. Lake was described by family members as being an outgoing, lively person who enjoyed her family and the company of her many friends. Born on Oct 29, 1918, in Phenix City, she was the daughter of Berta Tomblin Ray and Brewer Ray. She is survived by her husband Durwood L. Lake, Phenix City; sons Stan lake, Lilburn, GA.; Jeff Lake, Cumming, GA; and Hal Ray, GAinesville, GA; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
