Bancroft Times; Bancroft ON; 2002-8-29 Kathleen Lake (Hirsch) Kathleen Lake (Hirsch), wife of the late Harvey Elvin Lake, passed away August 19, 2002 at Quinte Healthcare, North Hastings after a sudden illness. She was 88. Kathleen was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. She was a daughter to George Tannahill and Annie Malone. She had lived in Toronto before moving to Bancroft in 1945. Kathleen is mourned by her children Patsy Redmond of Bradford; Norma & Howard Redmond of Bancroft; Helen Jackson of Coe Hill, Phyllis & Jim McEathron of Bancroft; David & Maureen Hirsch of Toronto; Mildred Thompson of Belleville; Harvey & Jo-Anne Lake of Toronto; Frank & Theresa Lake of Bancroft; Angus & Susan Lake of Bancroft; Edith & Ken Musclow of Bancroft and Charlie & Rosemary Lake of Bancroft. She is mourned by her many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Mourning her sister is Dina Brewer of Stayner. Kathleen was predeceased by her siblings Georgina, Angus, Jim, John and Mina. Kathleen was a homemaker and a member of the United Church. A funeral service was held Thursday, August 22, 2002 at 11 :00 a.m. from the Bancroft Pentecostal Tabernacle, arrangements entrusted to Baragar Funeral Home. Interment followed at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bancroft. The Reverend Heather McLurg officiated. Pallbearers were grandsons Billy & Harold Redmond, Wesley McEathron, Wayne Jackson, Bart Lake, Rick Thompson, Roger Musclow and Matthew Lake.
