Published in the Bakersfield Californian on 10/26/2006. Bakersfield CA Larae Ellen Lake 1941 - 2006 Larae Ellen Lake was born and raised in Bakersfield, CA to Grover and Juanita Honeycutt. She lived and worked here until she married Darryl Lake. She became a supportive military wife, living in Mississippi, Arizona, and back to California. Later as a single mother, she committed herself to raising her four children, Keith Lake, Kelly Hunt, Kevin Lake, and Kenneth Lake whom she is survived by. Love all them "K's" mom. She is also survived by her mother, Juanita Ramos; brothers, Dennis and Gilbert Honeycutt; and sister, Vicki Fisher; along with eight grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren who think the world of her. She was a very thoughtful and compassionate woman who was always willing to give the last of whatever she had to help somebody else. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be October 25 thru October 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Mission Family Mortuary, 531 California Ave. Memorial service will be held on October 28, at 10:00 a.m., at Harvest Christian Church, 6228 Coffee Rd. A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery, 3700 River Blvd. after the memorial service, with reception following at 2609 Alder St. Larae Ellen Lake 1941 - 2006
