LAKE, LATISHA R.
OF ELGIN
Funeral services for Latisha R. Lake, 20, will be held at noon Friday,
at Living Gospel Church, 1515 Dundee Ave., Elgin. The Rev. Leonard
Spates will officiate. Born March 3, 1980, in Elgin, to Burke and Barbara
(nee Smith) Lake, she died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, at Provena St. Joseph
Hospital in Elgin.  Interment will be in Bluff City Cemetery. Latisha
was a 1997 graduate of Elgin High School and was employed in customer
service for First Card.  Surviving are her son, Kemeonta Staggers of
Elgin; mother, Barbara Perry of Elgin; two loving fathers, Tomppy Spates
of Elgin and Burke Lake of Aurora; sisters, Patricia (John) Robinson,
Rayda McCarroll, Raphal Dee Spates, Felicia Perry and Heather Lake; and
brothers Kevin (Renee) Spates, Alex (Debbie) Spates, Ronnie (Jeanett)
Spates, Everett Spates and Tomppy (Helen) Spates Jr. She was preceded in
death by her brother Michael Spates. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until
the time of services Friday, at the church. Arrangements were made by
