Leland Lake 1954 - 2011

MOUNT PLEASANT - Memorial Services for  Mr. Leland "Creekbottom" Lake,
56, of Mount Pleasant, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011,
at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Chapel with bro. Bill Miller officiating.

Mr. Lake died on Tuesday, Jan. 18 in Mount Pleasant.

Survivors including his wife, Maureen Lake, sons and daughters-in-law,
Jason and Rebecca Lake of NY, Brandon and Misty Lake, Crowley, daughter,
Jessica Berkenkamp, Carry Jetton and Husband, Jason, Crystal Weems and
husband, Paul, Winnsboro, brothers, Al M Lake, Wylie, Louie Mortellaro,
Winnsboro, sisters, Yvonne Blewett and Husband, Larry, Keene, Linda
Jackson, Elk City, OK, and 10 grandchildren.

He was born Jan. 29, 1954 in Odessa to Alton "Al" Parker and Velma
Wilkerson Dansby Lake, who preceded him in death.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a train operator and was employed
with Luminant.

The family requests Memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.
