Lake Saturday, December 16, 2000 Leo Russell Lake, 82, passed away just after noon on December 14, 2000 in Sun City, Arizona after an extended illness. Born June 6, 1918 in Harrisville, Utah, son of George and Agnes Lake. He spent his youth in Roberts, Idaho area where he attended Ricks College. Joined the Navy to serve his country during World War II where he received the Purple Heart in the South Pacific. He lived and raised his family in Kearns, Utah. He worked and retired from the Federal Aviation Administration Air Route Traffic Control Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Active in local politics and the VFW. Married Evelyn Boyce in Ogden, Utah and later divorced; they had one daughter, Leola. Married Delores Johnson in Rexburg, Idaho in 1946; she preceded him in death in 1947. Married Ruth Jean Dodge March 22, 1948 in Evanston, Wyoming; later solemnized in the Provo Temple. Jean preceded him in death December 19, 1995. Survived by his sons, John Lake, Phoenix, Arizona; James R. Lake, Eagle, Idaho; daughters, Jean Green, Glendale, Arizona; Leola Lake; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Viola Christensen, Spring City, Utah; Irene Wilkinson, Gooding, Idaho. He will be missed by all. Graveside services will be held Monday, 12 noon at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West.
